Tabkeep or Raindrop.io? If your problem is too many tabs, you want a tab manager.

Raindrop.io is a bookmark library. Tabkeep is a tab workspace on your new tab: it shows what is open, saves and closes it in one move, and keeps notes beside the links you are working with this week.

We make Tabkeep. Everything about Raindrop.io here comes from Raindrop.io's own pages, we say where Raindrop.io is ahead, and planned Tabkeep features don't count.

The short answer

Choose Tabkeep if your problem is open tabs

Tabkeep sits on your new tab, shows what is open right now, and lets you save, sort and close tabs in one place, with notes and checklists beside them. It works without an account.

Choose Raindrop.io if you are building a library

Tabkeep is for the tabs you are working with now

Tabkeep starts from the problem most people actually have: too many open tabs. It replaces the new tab, so your saved work is the first thing you see, and its sidebar lists every open tab with duplicates and sleeping tabs marked. Drag a tab onto a group to save it, or save the whole window as a session, then close it.

Saved tabs sit next to notes, checklists, timers and clusters, arranged in spaces you can see at a glance, and Alt+A finds any tab from any page. It feels more like a desk than a library.

No account, and it opens instantly

Raindrop.io needs an account before you save anything. Tabkeep stores your workspace in your browser, so the new tab opens instantly, even offline. Upgrade to Pro when you want sync and a cloud backup.

Where Raindrop.io still fits

If you save links to read or reference for years, Raindrop.io is a strong library: it runs on every browser and phone, the free plan has no bookmark limit, and Pro adds full-text search and permanent copies of pages. Many people keep a library there and this week's work in Tabkeep.
