Terms of Service

Please read these terms before using Tabkeep.

Agreement

These terms cover the Tabkeep browser extension, this website and the sync service behind them (together, “Tabkeep”). By installing or using Tabkeep you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled.

Using Tabkeep

You may install and use Tabkeep for your own work and personal use. An account is optional; you need one only for paid plans and sync. Keep your password safe, since anyone with it can reach your synced workspace.

Plans

  • Free. 1 collection, 2 spaces and 1 easel, with up to 25 items in total, saved on your device. No cloud sync and no tab switcher (Alt+A).
  • Pro. $6 a month or $55 a year, with no limits on collections, spaces, easels or items, plus cloud sync and the tab switcher. It renews automatically until you cancel.
  • Lifetime. When an offer is on, a one-time payment that keeps Pro without renewals, synced on 2 devices or on all of yours, as the offer states.
  • Devices. A device is one browser profile signed in to sync. Device limits apply only to sync: the extension keeps working with your local data on any device.
  • Taxes. Applicable tax is added at checkout.

Prices on the pricing page may change. A change never affects a lifetime plan you already bought.

Payments, cancelling and refunds

  • Payments. Dodo Payments processes all payments and manages subscriptions.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time from Manage subscription on your Account page. If you cancel at the end of your billing period, you keep Pro until then and it does not renew; a subscription cancelled straight away ends Pro straight away.
  • Switching. Moving between monthly and yearly takes effect right away, with the difference prorated.
  • Moving to lifetime. Buying a lifetime plan cancels your subscription. Time left on the subscription is not refunded automatically.
  • Refunds. You can get a full refund on any purchase within 14 days. Ask in our Discord community. If a payment is fully refunded or a dispute over it is lost, the plan it paid for ends. Deleting your account cancels an active subscription.

Your content

What you save in Tabkeep is yours. We store it only to sync it between your browsers and keep its recent versions, as the Privacy Policy describes. You are responsible for what you save, and you must not use Tabkeep to store or share anything unlawful.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • get around plan or device limits, or share one paid account between people;
  • overload, probe or attack the sync service, or reach data that is not yours;
  • resell Tabkeep or a Tabkeep account;
  • use Tabkeep in a way that breaks the law or the terms of the browser it runs in.

Sync and backups

Sync keeps the copy on our servers as the source of truth, and the 30 previous versions of your workspace can undo most mistakes. If the same workspace is changed on two browsers while one of them is offline, some of those changes can be lost. Export a backup from Settings → Data before large changes, and keep it somewhere safe.

Other services

Some optional features rely on other companies: Google for sign-in and, with your own API key, the Ask assistant; classifier.dev for Smart Save and Quick Organize. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms.

Changes to Tabkeep

Tabkeep changes as it improves: features can be added, changed or removed. Your workspace always stays in your browser and can be exported, even if sync were ever to stop.

Disclaimer

Tabkeep is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your use

You can stop using Tabkeep and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update the date below. Using Tabkeep after a change means you accept the updated terms.
